Movie Time!

Most everyone likes movies, I love them. Most of my weekends I sit at home and watch movies with my mom. Movies are one of the many things we love to do together. People ask all the time what is your favorite. I can never pick a favorite because they are all so funny! I am not a fan of horror, sad or mysteries. I love to laugh it is one of my favorite things to do! Comedy movies are always a fun time. My mom and I try to pick favorites but them we think of other funny ones.


Every movie has its own type of humor, my mom and like stupid humor the most. The movie we watch the most, laugh the most, and quote the most is Baby Mama. We also quote The School Of Rock a lot too. Movies are a good way the laugh, connect with people and look at things from a different view.

I love movies with the funniest actors, like Jack Black, Tina Fey, Amy Pholer and Will Ferrell. Some people rather watch a "boring" movie, most other movies are boring to me. I want to laugh and enjoy myself. I don't want to watch people die, or be sad. I don't know why people like those movies because being sad isn't fun to me that is way it is called being sad.

I also enjoy movies with a historical meaning in it. History is my favorite subject, and that type of thing is cool to learn about. Holocaust movies are my favorite history movies even thought they can be very graphic and gruesome. That whole subject it is so interesting to me.

Knowing people's favorite movies shows a lot about their personality. People who watch comedies tend to want to laugh a lot. That doesn't necessarily mean that people who like history movies are boring. Movies are just part of people's interests and looks on things, kind of. People can be so different like me, like I like history and comedies, which is a weird mix but that is how I roll!

USA on Rwandan Genocide!

The United States stayed out of the genocide because we were previously embarrassed about a situation that happened. We didn't not go because of future embarrassment but because so many other people were there, like the French, Belgium and the Rwandans were all fighting. The USA can't be the stepping stone and be there for everyone to put a bandage for every cut that people get. The U.S. has other places to be and other things to do. America didn't just not talk about Rwandan Genocide we told America about it. We also said sorry for not being there. Plenty of other people want to blame America when they could have helped too. The French and Belgium comes to mind because they were already there and instead of picking sides and making things worse they could have been stopping it!

Sitting in the spot of the United States, we stayed out of the genocide. People had an issue with it at first then, but then realized other people had worse parts in this. Sitting back and watching this go by I realized that we didn't do damage because we didn't go in there. My personal opinion is that the Interahamwe, which leads back to Juvenal. Juvenal brain washed people which those people, became the Interahawe. The Interahawe took machetes and just started kill the Tutsi.

The USA stayed out of the debate mostly. Other people and places were blaming each other back and forth. The debate over all was a great experience. I thought we could throw are feelings out there without fearing not that we usually do but it was a good time. Listening to people talk about other people coming back was really interesting because everyone had good ideas and thoughts about who or what they were. I think everyone enjoyed this activity because we all were sort of a roll and we stuck to it. Everyone is saying that we really believe what we said, which is kind of crazy because some people were really crazy and did some really bad things to innocent people. What I didn't understand is that why keep blaming each other when we can just realize what we did and work together to fix on what we messed up. If we all just work together we can fix it, like Bob the Builder says"Can we fix it, Yes we can" my focus is on we. Changing I to we can change anything. Just blaming people makes matters worse because we keep going farther and farther back in time, instead of going forward to stop the genocide.

"The American Scholar"-Yay or Nay

Emerson's argument in "The American Scholar" about American society still holds true today.

A reason Emerson's argument is still true today is because people normally work with one job and only do that. Take my mom's job for instances, she works at FedEx and sometimes she changes routes and she gets thrown off a little bit because she's not use to the new area. In the article Emerson says "The priest becomes a form; the attorney a statue book; the mechanic a machine; the sailor the rope." That is true for most people, when they get outside their area of work they are confused.

Emerson knows what other people don't realize. People think they are good at what they do, most likely because they are but, they probably don't realize is that they my not succeed at other things. Others know they are good at one thing and that's why they do what they do. My dad works for the government and is good at it, but he knows he is good at other things too. People are shocked because my dad is a photographer too. People think he can only be a government worker, which is a lot of proof of Emerson's article.

Halloween!

Halloween is the time of year were normal people can be crazy or crazy people can be even more crazy. To me being scared for fun doesn't make the top of my list, but I do love to wear awesome costumes! Wearing a costume makes you something that you would never think of being, such as a mime, Oopma Loompa, crazy punk rocker, which I have once dressed up as in the past three years. At my old school we always had a Halloween Social for the middle school, and there was always a costume contest. In 6Th grade I was a mime and won over all, and in 8Th grade I was a Oopma Loompa and won over all! I was know to have crazy costumes and to go all out for things like that.

Halloween is fun and you get candy but why is it based on getting frightened? Well I went looking and this is what I found.

It is interesting how such main holidays start the way they do. They were all basically celebrations or partys, like Christmas it's Jesus' birthday.

Halloween is mainly like any other holiday,except people get very creepy but, it's funny the ranges of people who go all out or do nothing there is a few in between people but either you love it and try to scare the crap out of people or you put a smiley face pumpkin on your porch. I am one of the in between people, I don't like to scare people on Halloween because I don't liked to be scared, I have a pumpkin on my porch that is kind of smiling but I had to do something easy. Another weird thing is why do we care pumpkins? Why not apples?
Well the answer is because the faces were supposed to represent the faces of the people who died.

Halloween is fun for almost all ages, most people enjoy candy, holidays and new things. I do but sometimes people need to take it down a notch and not have blood dripping out of a tree because to me that is a little bit over bored. I think Halloween is just another holiday but I can guarantee a lot of people disagree but that's their opinion not mine.

Halloween shouldn't be so scary because not everyone enjoys that, when Halloween strolls around people bring out the scary movies and creepy masks but those are not just for Halloween, if people brought stuff like that out some other time it wouldn't probably be such a creepy holiday but then it really wouldn't be the Halloween we all know and love.

The Office

Everyone has their favorite TV show, some say they love all of them but one always out shines the others. I watch many shows and one stands out the most, The Office. This so is the funniest show I have ever watched, you laugh till the end. It is about what other than people working in an office but they make the best office any where. You have to have a certain type of humor to enjoy it, but you some times you really don't.

This show is makes my whole family laugh! It's humor is most of the time stupid humor, but it is all around funny. If that was the only show I could ever watch that would be it. The show is full of ranges of people with their own sense of humor so most people enjoy it. One time i was watching it and I chocked on water because it was so funny! A lot of people enjoy this but I love it.

When you watch the show a joke might happen that is not funny then they add something to it, to make it pee your pants funny. The writers for this show are genius! If you haven't ever seen this show I really recommend it. It is a addicting show, it's like someone gives you a bite of your favorite food, then takes it away wanting more. To make this show better like all shows do they add twists. It is supposed to be like it is a real office and they get interviewed and they have really great actors for this show, if I was on set I would not be able to help because I would always be laughing.


Michael Scott,the manager, is super funny and picks his favorites, and he hates this one gut Tobey and no one knows why so it makes it even more funny. There is a love relationship between Jim and Pam. Dwight is the crazy outside of the box guy, he thinks he could be James Bond, but there is no way. There are more people in the office but these are some of the main people.

I really recommend this show for people who love to laugh. It really can be someones show of the week like mine. I watch other funny shows like Ugly Betty and Glee but nothing can be compared to The office. Look for it if you don't have anything better to do or look for when you should be your homework, because The Office is worth it! So turn on your TV and look for and watch it! You may want to rent the seasons first to catch up but that is more enjoyment for you.

Poverty, how it affects us all.

Poverty hits everywhere. People only think about themselves, they need to look out the window and see the hobo walking down the street in 20 degree weather. When people see these people they think, why can't these people get jobs those lazy people, stop sticking your cups out for money. People think they have it bad when they have to wait in a long line for dinner, while the homeless people are more than happy to wait in line at the soup kitchen. People need to take a step back and see how they can help others, instead of buying the latest flat screen TV.

More than three billion people in the world live on $2.50 a day. One billion children live in poverty, 640 million live without shelter, 400 million don't have access to safe water, 270 have have no access to health service and in 2003 29,000 children died each day because of poverty. Don't believe me look for yourself.http://www.globalissues.org/article/26/poverty-facts-and-stats People who are in poverty don't have access to normal things in life such as, Doctor, education and everyday things to other people.

A lot of people think that poor or homeless people are dirt bags and lost their life due to drugs or alcohol. In real life people in poverty could have lost there jobs or things in life just didn't benefit them. They may be living in a box and are wearing winter coats on 90 degree days, but that's how things go in life sometimes. People take for granted that they have what they have. There are some people have it bad themselves, but help people who have it worse. People in the world need to see the poverty growth and help!


Poverty hits everyone even if you don't think it does. Everyone is affected by money. Money makes the world go round and when you don't have it stops. Homeless people can be affected by it when the rest of the world has a low amount of money. They depend on donations from other people and when people themselves need it they can't share. Yes, there are people who the economic down fall hasn't effected, but they aren't the people who she homeless or poor people to help.

I have always been trying to help homeless and poor people. At my old school I always donated food to the food depot they had. I had also worked many hour at the food depot. I wanted to help and I'm sure others do too, but they need to take the step towards the light and do the right thing, even if your friends think it's stupid. Make a difference, be the difference!

My favorite: The Jonas Brothers

You ask me who's my favorite band is, you'll get on quick answer, the Jonas Brothers. I can talk about them for days. They have been and still are a big part of my life. I have liked them since 2006. They are the greatest band to me, other people hate them but I don't care because I have my opinion and they have theirs.

Here is some info about them. There is three of them, actually four but only three are in the band. There is Kevin,22, Joe,20, and Nick,16. They are from New Jersey and have always had music in their life. Music is their passion, that's why they have a band. They sing pop songs, and are teenage girl heartthrobs. Joe is the lead singer, Kevin is lead guitar and Nick is singer, guitar, piano and drums. They have a little brother named Frankie who is 9. Frankie wants to be in the band one day, he already is playing drums.

I have been fortunate enough to go to two of their concerts, I didn't have to pay for any of them. I went in the summer of 08 and 09. I never knew how something could get better but it did because the concert in 09 was the best concert I have ever been to. Both times I went with friends so it made the experience more memorable. Joe is my favorite Jonas Brother, for one because he's hot and the other is because he is good at what he does. Seeing Joe live was the best thing ever! It takes me awhile after the show to understand I just the Jonas Brothers in person and been in the same room as them.

My family thinks I'm to obsessed but I have OJD(Obsessive Jonas Disorder) and I am proud! My family buys me Jonas stuff if they see it because they do know how crazy I am about them, for instance I got a Joe Jonas pillow last year with my name on it! If I see them on TV I make everyone be quiet so I can see and hear them. People don't really understand why I am this crazy about them, but it's like everyone has a favorite band and some are crazy about them and others just enjoy them,I am one of thise crazy fans. I am trying to learn piano just to play their songs. People need to understand that I L-O-V-E this band and they need to deal with it.

The Jonas Brothers bring me joy when I need it the most. I always watch their show, too. I own all of their Cd's and have both of their movies. I have 22 posters on my wall at my dad's and 27 posters at my mom's. I am running out of space on my walls but I find a place for posters.

I'll stop now so I don;t bore you but I could keep going on, for awhile. I hoped you enjoyed my Jonas Brother info and my love for them.

First Day Of High School

Getting to school was very nerve-racking.  The drive seemed to be going on for miles when it's actually only 0.9 of a mile.  It didn't help with my dad constantly asking me, "Are you nervous?"  He asked this question almost ten times.  I responded each time with "yes, very nervous."  Once my dad dropped me off I knew I had no choice but to go to school.  I took slow, careful steps.  Passing through the blue steel doors was threatening, but I went along anyway.  The aroma of stiff air, from no one being in the building all summer, filled my nose.  Squeaking shoes, gossip about summer, lockers opening, and teachers welcoming students was heard all over the school.  While walking to my locker I thought to myself, "This is my new home-away-from-home, so now I need to make the best of it and work hard."
Finding my locker wasn't the difficult part; it was just the worries about opening it.  My locker opened with ease, which was a sign of a good start.  I stood at my locker not knowing what to do next; should I start off to class, or just stand there looking more and more like a freshman every second.  I decided to make my way to class, feeling like an ant on a busy side walk, dodging one person and trying not to run into another.
I arrived to Spanish early, but it didn't seem so early because most of the class was already there.  I found that there was a seating chart, which I found slightly difficult. I looked at it for a few seconds, trying to not look like an idiot.  So I went where I thought I was supposed to be and someone was already there.  I was puzzled so I said, "I think you're in my seat."  Of course I was wrong and I felt really stupid.  The teacher came in and helped me out.  Other people needed her help too, so I didn't feel too bad.  She had such a big smile on her face it was kind of shocking.  Everything we learned in that class I pretty much already knew, so I was happy.  I looked at the clock and saw that the class was almost over.  Knots immediately came into my stomach because I knew that I had to do this all over again in the next class.  I felt better when I realized that the next class was the one I was looking forward to all summer, Photography.
I speed-walked down the halls to my locker and changed out my Spanish supplies to my Photography ones.  The Photography room is down the same hall as my locker, so I didn't have to race back into the other hectic halls.  As I entered the room the chemicals smacked my face.  This was a familiar smell, and somewhat comforting to me.  It was a comforting scent because photography is a big hobby in my house, and the smell of our dark room at home smelled the same.  This class is what I wanted most of all.  I already knew most of what was going on.  I thought that this was the perfect class for me.  The teacher was very nice, and very smart about photography.
My first day was a pretty good day; yeah, it had its ups and downs, but I made it out alive.  That day I really understood the saying, "when life gives you lemons make lemonade".  Now my outlook on life is different, because I can’t think that everything is always going to go my way. When something doesn’t go my way I can’t throw a fit, I have to just make it work.

ABC of Me!

A~ A is for animals. I LOVE animals, they are my world! I have four dogs and love them to death!!
B~ B is for beautiful. I am beautiful inside and out. People may say I am ugly but, I don't care because I know I'm not. I have a beautiful heart and soul.

C~ C is for creative. I love art and plays. I am a huge fan of photography. My father owns a photography business and I help all time time, I actually work there.

D~ D is for deserving. I deserve what I get because I work and do my best at all times. If I get good things that means I did what I'm supposed to and more.
E~ E is for excited. I try to be a happy and excited person in life. I try to make the best of my life and the people around me.
F~ F is forgiving. I try to forgive people for even the worst of times. I try to make the best of the worst situations, they have done.
G~ G is for giving. I try to give to the needed, family, and friends. When someone needs help I try my best to help for what they need. I may not give what they need but a listening ear can help with just the smallest problems.
H~ H is for happy. I try to be a happy person even at a sad time. I try to make the best of everyday even if the day made day a horrible one. I try to pick out the good.
I~ I is for incredible. I am incredible with photography, I can make a everyday tree look like a rare beautiful. Photography means a lot to me so I work hard to do better.
J~ J is for joker. I try to make jokes and make people laugh so they will have fun around me, and enjoy their day with a smile.
K~ K is for kind. I like to help people out with life and problems.
L~ L is for likable. People like to be around me because I make people laugh and have a good time. I have stupid moments so people can feel smart around me.
M~ M is for mischievous. If I am quiet for awhile I probably am up to no good. I try not to be but it just happens.
N~ N is for neat. I am neat as in cool and neat as in I like to be clean and have an idea where things are at. Knowing where things are at make me not freak out when I need them.
O~ O is for older sister. I have two younger brothers and one younger sister. My youngest brother is 8 months old and my sister is 2 1/2, they are from my mom. My other brother is going to be 1 on the 3rd of October, hes from my dad. I love them so much!!!
P~ P is for people. I am always around people and I make to sure to enjoy them, so I can have a good time with them. I have a big family so when I'm not with anyone it feels like something is missing.
Q~Q is for quiet...sometimes. I tend to bed a loud person but I'm quiet when I don't feel good or I don't feel comfortable. That doesn't happen to often though.
R~R is for respectful. I am and have been taught to be respectful to people, even if I don't like them. You always need to give respect so you will get it in return.
S~S is for super. I try to be super good at the things I do. I don't want to be perfect just the best I can be.
T~T is for talkative. I tend to be a talkative person. I like to make people laugh and like having a good time with people so I talk and have fun. I tend to talk to much and get told 'SSSHHHH' a lot.
U~ U is for uber fan. I am a big fan of many things such as the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, animals, laughing and a lot more things.
V~ V is for victory. I try to be victorious in the big and small battles in life. I do my best and work hard.
W~ W is for wisdom. I use and receive wisdom from all around. I look for wisdom and try to make the best of it.
X~ X is for x-ray. I have only had one x-ray in my life...that I remember. That is a good thing, even though I'm a huge klutz I have never had a broken bone:-)
Y~ Y is for yards. I love to cut grass and take care of my grass and such. I don't know why, I just get peace with myself and nature. I can think about what is going on in my life and around me.
Z~ Z is for zoom. I like to go fast in cars, but I don't want my life to fly by. I want a normal speed life so I can enjoy everyday.

High School-the first weeks thoughts

High school is a lot different than I thought. People are bigger than anyone can think. People tell you, you'll make friends and have a great time, but guess what, that hasn't happened! I have been in school for two weeks, and I barley have any friends!! You may think it's not that bad but when you get to lunch and you sit with random people who don't really want you there, it's not fun. I have meet people who I have classes with but I wouldn’t call them my best friends, I don't know if I can even call them friends. Yeah we talk, laugh and have classes together, but it's not the same people I went to school with. Watching everyone get back together with their friends from middle school was kind of really sad for me. Not knowing anyone is not a fun way to start high school. An example is, sitting and class and all my classmates talk to each other it makes me wish I was back to my old school. School is not very comforting to me any more, because I don't really have friends and this is a really big change in my life that hasn't really started off on a good foot. Knowing my "new home" is not as great as I wanted it to be, but I don't really have a choice now do I?! I try to make everyday a great one, it always isn't. I thought high school was what I really waned to do, but I realize once you leave the place you have been for 8 years and you are accustomed to you don't realize how much you miss it till after it's gone!

So far school, work wise, is pretty easy. I think homework and work isn't going to be the hard part. Work has challenged me in the beginning because I haven't been in school for a while. My favorite class is photography! I think that is going to be the highlight of my year, this year. So far everything we’ve done I know how to do but that's not going to stop me from trying hard and doing my best. I can't wait to really get going on camera projects.

So now I'm in a new school, in a new city, I don't know anyone really, and all I can do is try to make the best next four years of my life awesome. Now I just need to figure out how. I am officially a Stevenson Spartan and I am proud!!GO SPARTANS!!:-)
